What is an Idiom?

An idiom is an expression whose meaning is not clear from the meaning of its words. In other words, idioms have meanings that cannot be figured out by looking the words up in a dictionary. They have meanings that are understood by people who speak that language, but are very hard to understand for people who do not speak the language.
That's why we are going to learn a few of them.
I'm gonna give you the meaning of the first one for you to see what I want you to do.
Next time It'll be your turn.

A bit at sea

Meaning: to not really understand what you are supposed to do.
Example: The teacher told his class: answer the questions on the blackboard, but none of the class understood the questions and were  a bit at sea.
