Today we started a new section in our Science lessons: Experiments with the Scientific Method.
Our first experiment was about the importance of washing our hands before eating.
We used a plate filledwith water and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper (representing the germs) and a drop of dish soap. When we touched the water without soap, the pepper stayed on our finger. But when we touched it with soap, the pepper moved away very quickly.
This simple activity helped us see how soap protects us from germs and keeps us healthy.

THEY HAVE DONE ALL OF THE REST BUT THIS IS A BIT DIFFICULT.
Food in Ancient Egypt
People in Ancient Egypt had two meals a day. They ate vegetables and lots of bread. They also used spices to cook. Their food was simple but healthy. They didn’t eat meat every day.
Clothes in Ancient Egypt
The people didn’t wear trousers. They wore white clothes because it was hot. They also wore sandals on their feet. Their clothes were light and comfortable for the weather.
DEJO EJEMPLOS DEL WRITING QUE TENÍAN QUE HACER PARA HOY Y MUCHOS NO HAN HECHO.
HERE YOU HAVE A COULE OF EXERCISES TO PRACTICE WITH
TO MAKE THE PAST FORM OF MOST VERBS, WE ADD -ED AT THE END.
EXAMPLES:
CLEAN ➔ CLEANED (PAST)
WASH ➔ WASHED (PAST)
COOK ➔ COOKED (PAST)
PLAY ➔ PLAYED (PAST)
💬 EXAMPLE SENTENCE:
LAST WEEKEND, I CLEANED MY ROOM.
YESTERDAY, I WASHED THE CAR.
✅ LIST OF REGULAR VERBS (PAST)
CLEANED

COOKED
LOADED
TIDIED
HOOVERED
WATERED
PREPARED
INVITED
DECORATED
BAKED

DESIGNED
DANCED
TO SAY SOMETHING DID NOT HAPPEN, WE USE: DIDN’T + VERB (NO -ED!)
EXAMPLES:

HE DIDN’T COOK DINNER.
THEY DIDN’T PLAY VIDEO GAMES.
✅ LIST OF REGULAR VERBS IN NEGATIVE FORM

WE USE "HAVE TO" AND "HAD TO" TO TALK ABOUT THINGS WE NEED TO DO.
💬 EXAMPLES:
I HAVE TO WASH THE DISHES. (NOW / PRESENT)
HE HAS TO CLEAN HIS ROOM. (NOW / PRESENT)
I HAD TO WASH THE CAR YESTERDAY. (BEFORE / PAST)
1️⃣ IN THE PRESENT, WE USE:
I / YOU / WE / THEY ➔ HAVE TO
HE / SHE / IT ➔ HAS TO
EXAMPLE:
I HAVE TO COOK DINNER.
HE HAS TO WASH THE DISHES.
2️⃣ IN THE PAST, WE USE:
I / YOU / WE / THEY / HE / SHE / IT ➔ HAD TO
(EVERYONE USES "HAD TO" IN THE PAST — EASY!)
EXAMPLE:
I HAD TO TIDY MY ROOM YESTERDAY.
SHE HAD TO LOAD THE DISHWASHER.
TO SAY SOMETHING IS NOT NECESSARY, USE:
I / YOU / WE / THEY ➔ DON’T HAVE TO
HE / SHE / IT ➔ DOESN’T HAVE TO
IN THE PAST: EVERYONE USES DIDN’T HAVE TO
💬 EXAMPLES:
I DON’T HAVE TO WASH THE DISHES TONIGHT. (PRESENT)
HE DOESN’T HAVE TO TIDY HIS ROOM NOW. (PRESENT)
I DIDN’T HAVE TO WASH THE CAR YESTERDAY. (PAST)
